We provide tailored programs for children and adolescents, addressing developmental and behavioural challenges, alongside specialized support for caregivers and individuals experiencing workplace burnout, fostering resilience and well-being in all aspects of life.


  • Restful Nights for Insomnia (Group-Based Program)

    Insomnia is a common sleep disorder that can make it hard to fall asleep, stay asleep, or cause you to wake up too early and not be able to get back to sleep. This can lead to fatigue and impact your energy levels, mood, health, work performance, and quality of life. Most adults need 7 to 9 hours of sleep per night, but many experience short-term insomnia due to stress or distressing events. Long-term insomnia, or chronic insomnia, lasts for three months or more and may be related to other medical conditions or medications. Research shows that Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-i) is an effective treatment. Our Restful Nights for Insomnia Program is a virtual, group-based, 4-week program with 2-hour sessions led by a CBT-i Certified Social Worker or Psychotherapist.   • Mindfulness-Based Chronic Pain Management (Group-Based Program)

    Mindfulness has been proven to help manage symptoms of stress, anxiety, depression, and other mental health conditions. Research also supports mindfulness as a tool for chronic pain management. Studies, such as those by Fadel Zeidan, Ph.D., show that mindfulness can reduce brain activation related to pain perception.

    Some participants have reduced or eliminated pain medication use through regular mindfulness practice. Our 12-week, trauma-sensitive and trauma-informed Mindfulness-Based Chronic Pain Management Program helps reduce pain, decrease stress, and improve quality of life.

    Participants will engage in weekly 2.5-hour group classes, practice mindfulness meditation, and gain tools for self-care and relationship enhancement. Course materials are provided. Please see the program brochure for more details.

  • Interdisciplinary Chronic Pain Program (Individualized Program)

    Chronic pain, lasting longer than three months, can become a disease influenced by psychosocial, environmental, and physical factors. An inter-professional approach is best for managing chronic pain.

    Our specialized team, including occupational therapists, physicians, social workers, dieticians, yoga therapists, physiotherapists, and pharmacists, offers evidence-based programs to improve quality of life.

    Participants can choose from 4-week, 8-week, or 12-week programs, including an interdisciplinary assessment, lifetime access to a pain management app, personalized nutrition and exercise plans, medication reviews, 1:1 consultations, and group-based psycho-education.

  • TakeOFF! (Individualized Program)

    Aerophobia, or the fear of flying, can cause intense anxiety and interfere with travel. Using virtual reality and biofeedback, we assess specific anxiety triggers related to flying, such as other passengers, seat position, time of day, and weather conditions.

    Participants are exposed to various environments associated with flying, from packing at home to being on the airplane. A treatment protocol involving cognitive-behavioural therapy and graded exposure therapy is then determined to help overcome the fear of flying.

  • Driving/Passenger Anxiety Program (Individualized Program)

    Amaxophobia, the fear of being in a vehicle, and vehophobia, the fear of driving, can cause significant distress.

    Our program uses virtual reality technology and biofeedback to identify anxiety triggers, such as weather, time of day, speed, noise, and environment. A customized treatment protocol involving cognitive-behavioural therapy and graded exposure therapy is developed to help overcome driving/passenger-related stressors.

  • Corporate Wellness Programs and Workshops (Group-Based Program)

    Mental illness is a leading cause of workplace disability, costing employers billions in lost productivity. The COVID-19 pandemic has exacerbated mental health issues. Critical Trauma Therapy offers various corporate wellness programs addressing burnout, workplace stress, conflict, crisis management, work-life balance, remote working, and more.

  • HeartMath® (Individualized Program)

    HeartMath® techniques, based on over 30 years of research, improve emotional well-being by creating physiological coherence.

    This scientifically measurable state increases harmony in the mind, emotions, and body, helping you quickly change from feeling stressed to feeling calm.

  • Grief and Loss Creative Exploration (Group-Based Program)

    Our 4-week online program combines art with psycho-education to facilitate healing, growth, and holistic well-being.

    Each week features a different art project and psycho-educational topic related to grief and loss. All art materials are provided.

  • Progressive Goal Attainment Program (PGAP) (Individualized Program)

    PGAP is an empirically supported intervention designed to reduce disability and promote a successful return-to-work for individuals with debilitating health and mental health conditions.

    This 8-10 week program reduces psychosocial barriers to rehabilitation, promotes re-integration into life-role activities, increases quality of life, and facilitates return to work.
